Picture Perfect: Meet Our Park Photo of the Year Winner

Hosted by Park Home & Holiday Living magazine and sponsored by Quickmove Properties, our 2025 Park Photo of the Year has been chosen.

A fantastic array of photo entries was received, capturing everyday life on park home sites across the country, from peaceful garden views to lively community celebrations. After much deliberation, the winner is Leo Burke, an 83-year-old resident of EKOS partner park Castle View Court in Pevensey, East Sussex!

Leo’s winning photograph perfectly captures the joy of park life. Taken during a VE Day celebration at Castle View Court, the photo shows three fellow residents, Kim, Linda and Tracey dressed in 1940s military-style uniforms and smiling proudly. The judges loved the composition, but even more so the spirit behind it, cheerful, respectful and full of community warmth.

Leo describes himself as “21, going on 83”, and it shows. He moved to Castle View Court in 2020, looking for a fresh start after the loss of his wife. After viewing the park three times, he knew he’d found the right place. “I love the companionship here,” Leo says. “And I love being out of London and living by the coast.”

Photography has always been part of his life. These days, he uses his smartphone to capture people, events and early-morning seaside scenes along the south coast. “Photos are how I store my memories,” he explains. “I still enjoy looking back through albums and reminiscing.”

The VE Day party was a highlight. With food, music, fancy dress and even a disco, it brought residents together in true celebratory style. Leo took plenty of photos that day, many of which show just how strong the sense of community is at Castle View Court.

A Tough Decision

We also want to give a special mention to our Highly Commended entry: a beautifully framed photo of a very charming dog named Nala, taken by Lisa Jagroop at Seal Bay Resort in West Sussex.
